 Russia

  • Number of subscribers (valid SIM cards) increased to 220.6 mln, up 0.6 mln from January 2011, 11 mln from February 2010;
  • Penetration  increased to 151.9%  (up 0.4%  from January 2011, 7.5%  from February 2010);
  • There were 204 and 205 SIM cards in use per 100 population in Moscow and St.Petersburg respectively as of February 28, 2011.

Ukraine

  • Number of subscribers (valid SIM cards) decreased to 53.5 mln, down 0.2 mln from January 2011, 1.6 mln from February 2010);
  • Penetration  decreased to 116.8%  (down 0.5% from January 2011, 2.9% from February 2010).

  • Penetration  increased to 157%  (up 1%  from November 2011, 6%  from December 2010);
  • There were 212 and 215 SIM cards in use per 100 population in Moscow and St.Petersburg respectively as of December 31, 2011.

Ukraine:

  • Number of subscribers (valid SIM cards) increased to 53.7 mln, up 0.8 mln from November 2011, down 0.4 mln from December 2010);
  • Penetration increased to 118%  (up 1.6% from November 2011, down 0.5% from December 2010).
 
Please note that starting Jan 2012 we discontinue publishing monthly cellular subscriber reports and switch to QUARTERLY basis. However, the data should still include monthly subscriber dynamics.
