Russia:
  • Number of subscribers (valid SIM cards) increased to 203.7 mln, up 1.8 mln from July 2009, 24.2 mln from September 2008;
  • Penetration increased to 140% (up 1.2% from August 2009, 16.7% from September 2008);
  • There were 191 and 185 SIM cards in use per 100 population in Moscow and St.Petersburg respectively as of September 30, 2009.
Ukraine:
  • Number of subscribers (valid SIM cards) increased to 55.5 mln, up 0.04 mln from August 2009, 0.08 mln from September 2008);
  • Penetration increased to 120.5% (up 0.1% from August 2009, 0.7% from September 2008).

Russia:

  • Number of subscribers (valid SIM cards) increased to 194.7 mln, up 1.9 mln from April 2009, 23.8 mln from May 2008;
  • Penetration increased to 134.1% (up 1.3% from April 2009, 16.4% from May 2008);
  • There were 195 and 174 SIM cards in use per 100 population in Moscow and St.Petersburg respectively as of May 31, 2009.

Ukraine

  • Number of subscribers (valid SIM cards) decreased to 55.1 mln, down 0.1 mln from April 2009, down 0.05 mln from May 2008);
  • Penetration decreased to 119.5% (down 0.1% from April 2009, up 0.5% from May 2008).

Russia
  • Number of subscribers (valid SIM cards) increased to 196.6 mln, up 1.9 mln from May 2009, 23.7 mln from June 2008;
  • Penetration  increased to 135%  (up 1.3% from May 2009, 16.3% from June 2008);
  • There were 196 and 176 SIM cards in use per 100 population in Moscow and St.Petersburg respectively as of June 30, 2009.
Ukraine
  • Number of subscribers (valid SIM cards) decreased to 54.8 mln, down 0.2 mln from May 2009, down 0.3 mln from June 2008);
  • Penetration  decreased to 119.1%  (down 0.4% from May 2009, down 0.2% from June 2008).
  • Please note that drop in subsbribers at Kyivstar is caused by the new, more strict accounting policy by the operator: they stopped counting subscribers who continued receiving promotional SMSs from Kyivstar after 3 months of inactivity.
