MTS Has Over 6 mln Users
MTS, the largest provider of cellular services in Russia, celebrated 6 mln of subscribers in late November. The company's subscriber base increased by 305 thousand last month. Vimpelcom added 265 thousand while MegaFon attracted almost 170 thousand. Total number of mobile users in Russia reached 16.33 mln as of November 30, 2002.

Moscow market
November was a successful month for MegaFon - it earned 20% of net additions in the region, for the first time since launching its services in Russian capital a year ago. The growth was mainly achieved thanks to aggressive marketing campaign and properly positioned new line of tariffs.
Vimpelcom keeps a leading position with 3,450 thsd users. It added 130,000 to its subscriber base in November. MTS attracted 85,000 reaching 2,775,000 while MegaFon now have over 195,000 subscribers in Moscow (56,400 growth).
