Russia

Key points of cellular market development in May 2006:

• Number of subscribers (valid SIM cards) reached 137 mln (up 2.3 mln from April 2006, 44.2 mln from May 2005);
• Penetration increased to 95% (up 2% from April 2006, 30% from May 2005);
• There were 144 and 125 SIM cards in use per 100 population in Moscow and St.Petersburg respectively as of May 31, 2006;

Ukraine

Number of subscribers (valid SIM cards) reached 35 mln (up 0.9 mln from April 2006, 16.3 mln from May 2005). Penetration increased to 73% (up 2% from April 2006, 34% from May 2005).
