Russia

Key points of cellular market development in June 2006:

• Number of subscribers (valid SIM cards) reached 140 mln (up 2.8 mln from May 2006, 42.6 mln from June 2005);
• Penetration increased to 97% (up 2% from May 2006, 29% from June 2005);
• There were 147 and 128 SIM cards in use per 100 population in Moscow and St.Petersburg respectively as of June 30, 2006.

Ukraine

Number of cellular subscribers (valid SIM cards) reached 36 mln (up 1.3 mln from May 2006, 16.3 mln from June 2005). Mobile penetration increased to 76% (up 3% from May 2006, 34% from June 2005).
