Russia

Key points of Russian cellular market development in June 2006:

• Number of subscribers (valid SIM cards) reached 145 mln (up 2.1 mln from July 2006, 37.8 mln from August 2005);
• Penetration increased to 100% (up 1% from July 2006, 26% from July 2005);
• There were 151 and 133 SIM cards in use per 100 population in Moscow and St.Petersburg respectively as of August 31, 2006.

Ukraine

Number of subscribers (valid SIM cards) reached 39 mln (up 1.6 mln from July 2006, 16.6 mln from August 2005); Penetration increased to 82% (up 3% from July 2006, 35% from August 2005).
